Renew System Co., Ltd. announced that it received the Korea Small Business & Venture Corporation Chairman's Award at the '2020 Best SME Product of the Year' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Ventures and The Korea Economic Daily.

The organizers select four "Outstanding SME Products of the Month" each month through a selection committee, and award the "Outstanding SME Product of the Year Award" to five top-performing products chosen from a total of 48 products annually. Every December, CEOs of the selected companies attend an awards ceremony and dinner; however, due to the impact of COVID-19, this year the event was simplified to a simple certificate presentation.

Renew System Co., Ltd. was selected as the "Outstanding SME Product of the Month" in June 2020 for its self-developed new waterproofing material, "TurboSeal H," and subsequently earned the honor of being selected as the "Outstanding SME Product of the Year."

TurboSeal H is a product that has shifted the paradigm of waterproofing materials from the existing market's adhesive-curing type to an adhesive-non-curing type. Conventional waterproofing materials harden and crack, causing leaks through the resulting gaps. However, their TurboSeal H never hardens and remains undamaged by responding to structural movements, thereby completely blocking leaks.

Furthermore, it can be applied to all structures, including buildings (rooftops, partition walls, underground parking lots, etc.) and civil engineering works (tunnels, shield tunnels, utility tunnels, underpasses, subways, water treatment facilities, airports). It can be applied without surface pretreatment even when the structural surface is wet (moisture content in the 10–30% range). Since it is unaffected by weather conditions, it overcomes the limitations of conventional waterproofing methods and allows for application even during the winter season.

TurboSeal H has been designated and registered as an Excellent Procurement Product by the Public Procurement Service, enabling third-party unit price contracts to be concluded through the KONEPS shopping mall. As Excellent Procurement Products are exempt from competitive bidding among SMEs, they can be purchased directly without restrictions on the requested delivery amount or through procedures such as two-stage competition.

Meanwhile, Renew System Co., Ltd., established in 1999, is a waterproofing specialist company dedicated to developing membrane waterproofing materials capable of perfect waterproofing. It was designated as one of Korea's top 10 new technologies in 2013 and has solidified its position by receiving various awards, including the IR52 Jang Yeong-sil Award, two Presidential Commendations, and the National Green Technology Minister of Environment Award.
